Senate assures Utako traders of getting a shop from renovated stalls

The Senate Committee on the Federal Capital Territory  (FCT) has assured Association of Utako Market Traders that no more shops would be demolished until the presently demolished ones were rebuilt.
The Chairman of the Committee, Dino Melaye (APC-Kogi West), said that what is going on was a  lack of trust between the government and the people, because this had happened twice in the past to traders, whose shops were demolished and didn’t get a shop when the market was renovated.
Melaye, therefore, assured the association that the Senate was for  the people, and would not support throwing people into hardship, especially people who depended on the shops for survival.
