NESG to unveil 2018 macro-economic report

The Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) says it will launch its 2018 macro-economic outlook report for Nigerian economy on Thursday Jan 18 in Lagos.
NESG, in a document obtained, in Abuja, on Tuesday, indicated that the launch became necessary, given the urgent need to address the apparent challenges in nation’s socio-economic structure.
According to the document, the 2018 report firmly highlights the need for Nigeria to set a sustainable path aimed at achieving broad-based and inclusive growth in 2018 and beyond.
It indicated that the report highlighted three pillars and drivers of inclusive growth and proposed policy measures to achieve broad-based and sustained quality growth in 2018 and beyond.
NESG said that the report also contained macro-economic review of the Nigerian economy in 2017, and provided a forecast for key economic variables premised on possible economic index in 2018.
It said that the report examined government policies, events and interventions that would shape economic outcomes in 2018.
NESG said that renowned policy makers, analysts from the public and private sectors, economists would be in attendance at the programme.
