Insurance sector records total assets of N2.14 trillion

The insurance sector has recorded a total asset of N2.14 trillion

The new development is against the N2.02 trillion which was for last year.

The statement was made by the Commissioner, the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), Mr. Sunday Thomas,

He made this known in a statement on Tuesday.

According to him, the sector’s unaudited Gross Premium Income (GPI), however, stood at N630,362.35 billion in 2021, as against audited N514 billion recorded the previous year,

He added operator’s paid net claims of N238,050.49 billion in 2021. He noted that the figures were derived from the quarterly reports submitted by the operators in 2021
