A report published by Bloomberg Billionaires Index shows that the net worth of Aliko Dangote, chairman of Dangote Group and the richest man in Africa has risen to 30.2 billion.
Dangote ranks 75th on the latest data presented by Bloomberg with 75 richest people in the world.
He is a significant shareholder in Dangote Cement Plc that is a major cement manufacturer in Sub-Saharan Africa and is listed in the Nigerian Exchange Limited.
Also, he is the owner of Dangote Refinery, the largest oil refinery in Africa.
The most valuable of all the assets he owns is the Dangote Oil Refinery officially commissioned May 22, 2023, and estimated to be worth about 20 billion dollars.
Dangote has a majority of 92.3 percent of the refinery with Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited as the minority with 7.3 percent.
The net worth of Dangote has recently grown because of the Ibeju-Lekki plant.
