Bashir Adeniyi, the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, announced that the agency generated N6.1 trillion in revenue for 2024, marking a remarkable 90.4% increase from the N3.2 trillion collected in 2023. This information was shared during a press conference held in Abuja on Tuesday.
Adeniyi highlighted that the service exceeded its 2024 revenue goal of N5.07 trillion by 22%.
He pointed out that October was the peak month for revenue collection, with the service bringing in N603 billion.
“This unprecedented achievement in 2024 resulted in a total revenue of N6.105.315 trillion, surpassing the 2024 target of N5.07 trillion by 22%,” he stated.
