AfCFTA will change the face of manufacturing sector-MAN

The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) has the capability of changing the face of the continent’s economy as regards the area of manufacturing sector.
The assertion was disclosed President of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Mansur Ahmed, Lagos State chapter.
He made this known during this year’s ‘MAN Reporter of the Year Award/Presidential Media Luncheon help at MAN House, Ikeja, Lagos
He said that will give the continent of Africa a stronger force in the global economy.
Mansur noted that AfCFTA provides enormous opportunities for every country willing to make it a success
He said: “The dumping issue frankly is a matter of political will. Do our governments and political leaders have the political will to agree on those things that we have to do?,” he asked.
“But the difference is that while some countries will ensure that these regulations are complied with, others unfortunately, will not do so,” he said.
Speaking further, he  called for an effective monitoring policy that will ensure countries do the right thing.
Speaking concerning the level of the association: “We have conducted series of webinar workshops for our members to get them fully prepared to take advantage of the opportunities that are imbedded in the agreement.”
