On Monday, the naira improved significantly against the US dollar in the official foreign exchange market reversing the losses recorded on Friday, October 17, 2025.
The naira has improved as at Monday, according to the data provided by the Central Bank of Nigeria, it was appreciated to N1,465.29 per dollar, a significant improvement over the N1,475.35 on Friday.
This shows that the naira has appreciated by 10.06 compared to the dollar compared to the close of the last week.
On the other hand, the naira in the parallel market was not affected since it stood at N1,500 per dollar on Monday, unchanged with the previous Friday.
It was gathered that the naira has recorded a depreciation of N 20.18 against the dollar in the previous week, which implies that the currency has weakened on a weekly basis.
