Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola has issued a threat of suing Umar Sani, a former aide to former Vice President Namadi Sambo, N1 billion, which was effectively replied to by former aide Umar Sani.
It has been reported that Otedola had directed his lawyer to file a N1 billion suit against Umar Sani over his remark that he can be associated with fuel subsidy fraud in the regime of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Otedola termed the counter-stroke by Sani on him as malicious lies.
Sani replied to the threat leveled against X by Otedola by saying that the courts are places no good-minded Nigerian can dare to visit.
I will also be on Arise TV at 3 p.m. to answer these claims. The courts are institutions at which no man of good conscience in Nigeria should have anything to dread to go to,” he wrote on Monday.
It is to be remembered that N2 trillion had been allegedly drained using dubious subsidy claims by Jonathan by Otedola.
Sani wrote in response to Otedola that the businessman was alleging a hypocritical, selective and convenient rewriting of history, pointing out that he was among the beneficiaries of the subsidy fraud.
