Economist Adetilewa Adebajo isn’t exactly thrilled about how President Bola Tinubu’s government is spending.
He basically aired his grievances on Politics Today—that show on Channels TV, the one everyone talks about.
Adebajo didn’t sugarcoat it. He admits Tinubu’s team has done a couple of things right, but their spending habits? Not it. He thinks they’re kind of reckless, maybe even a bit out of control, and for real, someone needs to keep an eye on the purse strings.
He went on to say that this whole “spend now, think later” vibe is part of why inflation’s running wild—especially if you don’t count food prices, which, honestly, is like ignoring half the problem.
He figures the government could get things under control if they just sorted out security and helped farmers actually grow stuff. But then, energy prices? That’s a whole other mess, thanks to subsidy removal. Good luck fixing that one, right?
